Some businesses are easy to sum up in a sentence. Kings Cabs is one of them: a locally-owned taxi service that's been getting Lloydminster residents and visitors where they need to go, on both sides of a two-province city, for well over a decade. But that one sentence undersells just how much the company actually does. Here's the full picture.
Who Is Kings Cabs?
Kings Cabs is a Lloydminster-based taxi and transportation service operating out of 6201A 49 Avenue, Lloydminster, SK S9V 2G3. It's listed on the City of Lloydminster's official directory of licensed taxi operators, in compliance with the city's governing taxi bylaw (Bylaw No. 17-2025) — meaning it's not just another name in a search result, but a verified, municipally accountable local business.
The company operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and can be reached directly at (306) 307-1113 or online at kingscabs.ca.
What Makes Kings Cabs Different in a Border City
Lloydminster isn't a typical city to operate a taxi service in. It straddles the Alberta–Saskatchewan border, which means pricing zones, time zones, and even basic navigation can get genuinely confused by apps and out-of-town services not built for this kind of layout. Kings Cabs is licensed and permitted to operate across both the Alberta and Saskatchewan sides of the city, with local drivers who know the roads, the shortcuts, and the quirks of a city that technically answers to two provincial governments at once.

Why Locals Keep Choosing Kings Cabs
